Urnes: This style was used from the middle of the 11 th century well into the 12 th century, and it represents the last Norse art style. Extremely stylized animals are used, with heads and feet reduced to mere elongated terminals. Figure-eight and multi-loop compositions are employed. In this video, I'll show you some of the things to look out for when creating your Urnes style designs.I'll be using a design by Sven as a basis for the disc Viking Urnes styles dated back to 1050 to circa the 12th century. The Urnes style evolved from Viking former style - Ringerike style. But scholars agreed that compared with the Viking Ringerike style, Urnes style was much clearer and more stylish.
